The given authority also includes authorization to charge the credit card for additional rental/claims for compensation if the car is returned after the expiration of the agreed rental period. A delay with regard to returning the car exceeding 1 – one – hour compared to the agreed rental period entitles the lessor to claim one extra day’s rent in addition to the rent for the first day, and thereafter to be compensated for the agreed daily rate as long as the car is actually in possession and has not been returned by the renter to the delivery location in contractual condition. The renter’s and/or cardholder’s signature below serves as confirmation of credit card instructions and gives the lessor authority to charge the credit card in accordance with the above authority. This access to credit card charging also applies to any agreed actual extension of the rental period. Customers without a credit agreement must deposit upon collection of the car. All deposits are made by reserving the rental amount plus a deposit (minimum NOK 3000,-) on the customer’s credit card. The amount reserved remains at all times in the customer’s account but is not available to the customer. Due to automatic updates of toll crossings from Fjellinjen, the contract will not be settled until 2-3 days after delivery. After we have deducted the rental amount, any toll crossings, damages, and fuel, the rest of the deposit will be released. The released amount is normally available to the customer 3-5 working days after settlement.
